In a time of constant connection and information consumption, plus my excuse of tending after a little one these days, podcasts have been my go-to method of consuming content. I’m able to listen to an entire episode while making Kinza’s food, or driving the gym, etc.
There are so many different podcasts out there, so no matter what you’re in to or passionate about, there’s definitely something out there for you. Here are a few of my favorites:
I’ve been listening to this podcast for over a year now; Guy Raz interviews some of the most successful entrepreneurs to discuss their career trajectory and how they became successful. If you are interested in entrepreneurship, or just need a little extra motivation, this is the podcast for you. Each and every episode is packed with valuable life lessons and constant inspiration. My favorite episodes are Rent the Runway and Dyson.
Gwyneth Paltrow and goop’s CCO, Elise Loehnen, chat with idea changers and industry disruptors – from doctors and business leaders to spiritual healers about shifting from old ways of thinking to starting new conversations.
If you like TED talks, you’ll love this podcast. Imagine multiple TED Talks focused on one subject mixed in with interviews of subject matter experts. It’s also hosted by Guy Raz; I love that every episode is extremely engaging and this is one of those ‘wake & play’ type of podcasts for me as it helps stimulate my brain in the morning. Episodes touch on controversial topics ranging from how to effectively raise children and politics to hip hop.
I’ve been pretty obsessed with Sazan and the Hendrixes since way back when, so I was thrilled to hear Sazan & Steve coming out with a podcast! I love their relationship and they are often covering topics that I can relate to like parenting, living a meaningful life, and crushing the goals you set for yourself. Plus, Teeny is just the cutest!
One of my favorite sources for Islamic lectures by speakers all around the globe. It’s often easy to begin feeling disconnected when you can’t make time to go to the mosque (2019, I see you), but listening to lectures and khutbahs on various topics help bring a level of spirituality back into sight.
