Dream Big, Little Kinza (First Birthday)

Disclaimer – this post is grossly overdue, but hey, #momlife. As you might have seen on my Instagram a few months ago, Kinza turned one back in May and we threw an amazing first birthday for her with all our family and close friends.

We conveniently held the party at our community clubhouse in Irvine which was perfect because it was boho chic (totally in theme) and a simple five minute walk from our home.

One of life’s biggest lessons I always knew I wanted to pass down to my children is to “dream big”, so the idea of the theme came to me quite naturally.

We had the most incredible decor and dessert table! Our party planner, Mahvush Hanif of StylesofMH, was amazing and she literally thought of everything. If you are in Orange County or Los Angeles, I highly recommend her. She helped create the whole ambiance of the party with the lounge area where everyone hung out, the table top settings (including floral arrangements), dessert and entry table decor, and so much more! She also took care of the party favors for the kids which were so original and cute!

The balloon arch was from none other than my fave girls, Oh Shiny! Paper Co.

The desserts came from Alicia at Simply_Kreatiive; her work was jaw-dropping. She made the most darling macrame cakesicles, dream catcher cake pops, cupcakes, feather and arrow cookies, and a stunning two-tiered, boho-inspired cake. The cake topper was a custom piece designed for us by a local artist named Marie, from Inspired Engravings. The laser cut sign of Kinza’s name was a dream (pun intended) of a creation by Delovely Details – plus they were so very accommodating and were able to hand deliver the sign to my house because I was out of town. Who seriously does something so sweet?

Special shout out to our incredibly talented photographer, Garrett Wood. He has such a good eye for creative shots, and his wife is an ultimate sweetheart who is dually great at ensuring everyone is fixed and proper before each snap. Working with them only made my life easier on the day of, which is a huge deal for such a momentous occasion.

The whole day was just filled with so much love and laughter. It was truly incredible to see so many of our loved ones come together to celebrate the person we love the most in the whole world.

  1. I precisely wanted to thank you very much again. I do not know the things that I could possibly have done without the entire pointers contributed by you directly on this problem. Certainly was a difficult situation in my position, but looking at the very specialised mode you treated it forced me to weep with delight. I am just grateful for the support and even believe you recognize what a powerful job that you’re putting in educating many people through your web site. Most probably you haven’t met all of us.
